A 32-year-old sarpanch was electrocuted to death after coming into contact with an illegally installed electric fence at a farm in Nagpur district of Maharashtra. The police gave this information on Friday. An official said the incident took place in the morning at Thutanbori village in Bhiwapur tehsil, about 50 km from the district headquarters.
Case registered against three people
Thutanbori sarpanch Vinod Nathuji Gurpude (32) came in contact with the wire fence installed in the fields to protect crops from animals, due to which he died on the spot, the official said. The officer said a case has been registered against Sushil Digambar Bhute (42), Gangadhar Mahadev Sahare (52) and Tularam Dhanvijay (48) under section 105 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of the Indian Justice Code. .
Man died electrocuted after falling into drain
Last week, a person died due to electric shock in Mumbai’s Malad East area. The civic body official said the incident took place on November 13 at 11 pm in the Triveni Nagar Road area near Parekh Garden. “Kamlesh Chandrakant Shitab (39) was first shocked and then fell into a 25-feet deep drain. He was shifted to the nearest hospital through 108 ambulance service, where doctors declared him brought dead,” the officer said.
