New Delhi. An Enforcement Directorate (ED) team carrying out raids in Delhi in connection with the investigation into a cyber fraud-related money laundering case was allegedly attacked on Thursday.
The federal agency lodged an FIR with the police in connection with the incident that took place in Bijwasan area of the national capital. The investigation pertains to the PPPYL cyber application fraud case.
Sources said that the accused in the case, Ashok Sharma and his brother allegedly attacked the ED team. He said an FIR has been registered and the situation is under control.
The ED team had gone to raid the hideout of Ashok Sharma and his brother in connection with a cyber app fraud case. An FIR has been registered in this matter and the matter is still under control.
Sources in the Education Department said they had gone to target criminals in the investigation of the PPPYL cyber application fraud case. However, during this time cybercriminals Ashok Sharma and his brother attacked the team members. The FIR claims that the officers were attacked while carrying out a raid.
