With the help of the elephant, the king had defeated many enemies, but over time the elephant had aged. Now it wasn’t very fast. Because of this, the elephant stopped taking that elephant to war. The king had ordered a new elephant.
The king had done everything he could to give the old elephant food and drink, but even after this he began to feel sad. The king and his soldiers felt that he had become like this due to old age. After a few days, the elephant became completely unmotivated. One day he came to the middle of the pond, there was more swamp there. After reaching the middle of the pond he got stuck. Despite many efforts the elephant could not escape. Defeated, he sat there. The soldiers saw the trapped elephant and informed the king. The king and his ministers immediately arrived at the edge of the pond. The king called the elephant a lot, but it did not move. The soldiers also tried with all their might to evacuate him, but were unsuccessful. Then a minister told the king that we should play war drums here.
The king was surprised to hear this, but accepted the minister’s advice to remove the elephant. Now the drums began to sound there. As soon as the elephant heard the sound of the drums, it stood up with all its strength. Now he intensified his efforts to get out of the swamp and also achieved success. After a while, the elephant came out of the pond. The king was surprised to see this. He asked the minister how it was possible. Then the minister said: Maharaj, I know this elephant very well. I used to go to war with you. At that time there was enthusiasm in his life, but since you stopped taking him to war, he started to get sad, his enthusiasm was gone. Today, when we played drums in front of him again, he felt that he now had to go to war. His enthusiasm returned and he used all his strength to get out of the swamp and also achieved success.
