Hyundai Ioniq 9 launch: Hyundai has presented its flagship model for electric vehicles, the Hyundai Ioniq 9. The Hyundai Ioniq 9 is a three-row SUV that will go on sale in Korea and the United States in the first half of 2025. After this it will be introduced in Europe and other markets. It was launched with many advanced features and excellent appearance. Let’s take a look at what makes the Ioniq 9 special.
Battery and autonomy
Hyundai’s new high-end electric vehicle is equipped with a 110.3 kWh battery, offering a range of up to 620 km on a full charge. It has 19-inch wheels and is based on Hyundai’s E-GMP architecture. With a 350 kW charger, the Ionic 9 can charge from 10% to 80% in just 24 minutes. The vehicle supports 400V and 800V charging capabilities and comes with a vehicle to charge (V2L) feature, which allows the SUV to charge another electrical device. The Ioniq 9 is offered in two versions: Long-Range (LR) and Performance, with RWD and AWD options. AWD is standard on the LR RWD variant.
Performance:
- The LR RWD variant produces 218 PS and 350 Nm of maximum torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 9.4 seconds and from 80 to 120 kilometers per hour in 6.8 seconds.
- The LR AWD variant produces 95 HP and 255 Nm of torque, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds and from 80 to 120 km/h in 4.8 seconds.
- The Performance version, which offers 218 HP, can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds and from 80 to 120 km/h in 3.4 seconds.
Interior and features
The Ioniq 9 has a luxurious interior, with the option of six- and seven-seat configurations. The first two rows of seats have a massage function, while the second row seats can rotate up to 180 degrees. This includes Hyundai Universal Island 2.0, an adjustable console with armrest accessible from the second row and two storage trays with capacities of 5.6 liters and 12.6 liters.
Space and storage:
- The Ioniq 9 has 620 liters of luggage space in the boot, which expands to 1,323 liters when the third row is folded.
- It is equipped with a panoramic sunroof, a 12-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 12-inch digital instrument cluster with a curved panoramic display.

The vehicle features ambient lighting, roof-mounted air vents, multi-zone climate control, and 100W USB-C ports in all three rows. It features an 8-speaker sound system and an optional 14-speaker Bose system, as well as synthesized driving sounds.

The Ioniq 9 features 10 airbags and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) to improve passenger safety. It also includes seat belt pretensioners and load limiters for third-row passengers.
abroad
The large SUV measures 5,060 mm long, 1,980 mm wide and 1,790 mm high, and has a wheelbase of 3,130 mm. It is capable of towing up to 2,500 kg and has a towing mode that maintains a 50:50 front-to-rear torque distribution.
Off-road and design features:
The Ioniq 9 comes with dynamic torque vectoring, crosswind stability control, and terrain traction control for off-road capability. It also features digital side mirrors that replace conventional outside rearview mirrors, as well as a 7-inch OLED screen for functions such as zooming and directions. Despite its size, the Ioniq 9 has an attractive design with a rounded front and straight tailgate. The LED headlights have parametric pixels and the vehicle also gets a full taillight combination and 19-inch wheels.
