The buzz around the investigation into Sambhal’s Shahi Jama Masjid dispute has increased a lot. Here the miscreants threw stones at the police. Petitioner Mahant Rishiraj Giri claims that he has a map of Vikram Samvat 987. The entire Sambhal district has been marked on this map. This map mentions 68 Sambhal pilgrimage sites. Along with this, 19 wells are also mentioned. Mahant Rishiraj Giri claims that one of these 19 wells is located inside the present Shahi Jama Masjid, which earlier used to be the temple of Shri Harihar. Babar had demolished the temple and built a mosque there.
The temple is also mentioned in the books.
Mahant Rishiraj Giri also claims that there is still evidence inside the mosque, proving that Shahi Jama Masjid was formerly the temple of Shri Harihar. Apart from this, Mahant Rishiraj Giri states that the existence of a temple here is also mentioned in the book Baburnama. Along with this, Mahant Rishiraj Giri mentioned another book and based on the same book he stated that earlier there used to be a temple of Shri Harihar here.
He will present a petition for worship.
Mahant Rishiraj Giri says he will file a petition in the court and request that offering namaz at Shahi Jama Masjid be banned and that Hindus should be allowed to worship there. Petitioner Mahant Rishiraj Giri says the violence that took place at Sambhal’s Shahi Jama Masjid is condemnable. The rioters were not local residents but were called there from far away. This means that the violence that took place was done in a planned manner. Mahant Rishiraj Giri says he has full faith in the court and the Muslim side should also have faith in the court. Any order given by the court must be followed.
