Meanwhile, it is being claimed on social media that Om Birla’s son-in-law Anish Rajani is a Muslim. Photos and videos of their wedding were also shared in the post that went viral. This post is shared on different platforms with the claim that Om Birla’s son-in-law is a Muslim.
Vishvas News found out in its investigation that Anjali Birla is not married to a Muslim, Anish Rajani is a Sindhi Hindu and belongs to a Kota business family. The claim that Anish Rajani is a Muslim is false and baseless.

While sharing his post, a Facebook user wrote, “For the rich, big officials, big politicians and important people, caste, religion and society don’t matter for marriage and business. That’s why religion, society and caste don’t matter. Stop hating the name and earn money to improve the future of your children. Lok Sabha speaker has married his daughter Anjali to Anees Rajani. Son-in-law Anees and Mukhtar choose… Avoid insects. so selfish and hateful.”

What came out of the investigation?
The marriage of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla’s daughter Anjali reportedly took place in Kota, Rajasthan. His son-in-law Aneesh belongs to a reputed business family of Kota.
As we started our research, we started searching about Anish Rajani. During the search, we found the still of the viral video on the NBT website and as per the information provided here, Anish belongs to a Sindhi business family.
While searching, we found an X post by Hari Manjhi, BJP leader and MP from Gaya, Bihar. Here, while sharing the wedding card, he has rejected Anish Rajani’s claims of being a Muslim. In his post he has confirmed that Anish Rajani is from a Sindhi Hindu family from Kota.
For confirmation related to the viral post, we reached out to BJP National Spokesperson Dr Bijay Sonkar Shastri. Giving confirmation, he said, Anjali Birla’s claim that she married a Muslim youth is absolutely wrong.
This is not the first time that fake news about Om Birla’s daughter has gone viral; Earlier, a lie had been spread that he passed the UPSC exam without submitting any paper or interview. Read the full fact check here.
Now it was the turn to perform a social scan of the Facebook user who shared the fake post. We found out that the user is very active on Facebook and he is from Rajasthan.
