These days a post is going viral on social media claiming that the sequel to the movie Pathan Pathan 2 has been unofficially announced. This post is becoming increasingly viral on social media. However, when India TV verified this claim, it was proven to be completely false.
What is going viral?
In fact, a post is becoming increasingly viral on social media. Through this post it is stated that the poster of Pathan 2, the sequel to the movie Pathan, has been released. The title of one such post that went viral on social media reads, “Pathan 2 has finally been unofficially announced.” Deepika and Shahrukh’s couple is back, Kabir is alive. Along with this caption, a poster on which Pathan 2 is written was also shared.

Indian television is investigated
Since this post went viral on social media very quickly and was shared linking it to the unofficial announcement of Pathan 2, we decided to investigate this claim. During this investigation, when we searched on Google, we found a post (@sidkannan) on social media platform X, which was published on July 1, 2021. In this post we also saw a watermark on the photo. Searching with that watermark also found some other photos, which were shared from the account with the same watermark (@SRKanatic). Among these images, we also saw one that went viral, which was first published on April 8, 2021 and only Pathan was written on it.

What came out of the fact check?
Fact checking by India TV has revealed that the claim made when the post goes viral on social media is false. The image of the poster that went viral on social media was designed a long time ago and is now going viral with a false claim, so people are advised to be careful with any such post. India TV’s fact check found the claim in this viral post to be false.
