Rohit Bal will be cremated on November 2 at 5 pm at Lodhi Road Cremation Ground in New Delhi. Celebrities and fans have paid teary-eyed tributes to Rohit on social media. Due to illness, Rohit stayed away from the fashion world for some time. He only returned last year. Lakme India Fashion Week was its last show, where Bollywood actress Ananya Pandey became its protagonist. How did Rohit start his career?
Rohit Bal was a big name in the fashion industry. Rohit was born on May 8, 1961 in a Kashmiri Pandit family. He did his early studies in Srinagar. Later, his family moved to Delhi. Here he completed further studies. Rohit did a fashion course at the National Institute of Fashion Technology. In 1986, he began his career by founding Orchid Overseas Private Limited with his brother.
Then in 1990, Rohit launched his collection independently. He also collaborated with Khadi Gram Udyog. He had designed the costumes for the ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ competition. Rohit had good relations with Bollywood celebrities. He and his designs were famous among movie stars. Rohit had opened his stores in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Ahmedabad. After costumes, she entered the field of jewelry design.
