Case for sexual harassment complaint against IPS official
Faridabad News (Aaj Samaj) Faridabad: The Women Commission has also expanded the scope of its investigation in the case of sexual exploitation of women police officers by an IPS officer in Haryana. Firstly, the Women’s Commission has questioned Fatehabad SP Aastha Modi, who is investigating the case, and the SP, who is surrounded by allegations. Women Commission chairperson Renu Bhatia had spoken to the SP through a video call. After this, Renu Bhatia had asked to speak face to face with those policewomen who wanted to say something about this matter. Today, six victimized police officers reached the Women’s Commission office in Faridabad.
These women police personnel are posted only in Jind. Here the SP was also published surrounded by accusations. Earlier, President Renu Bhatia had written a letter to the Chief Minister for transfer of the accused IPS officer, the woman SHO and DSP, and all three were transferred. Women Commission chairperson Renu Bhatia, who contacted Charkhi Dadri last day, said that she had received a lot of information related to this matter on social media. That evidence will be investigated. Policewomen have been called for investigation. Only after investigation can something clear be said.
Government constituted the SIT to investigate the matter
To take action on this matter, the government formed an SIT on November 3 under the leadership of ADGP Mamta Singh. The next day, October 4, the ADGP reached the district where the accused IPM officer was posted. SP Aastha Modi was also with him. At the police line he recorded the statements of 30 police employees. Mamta Singh did not say anything after recording her statement. He said the investigation has just begun, so nothing can be said. The committee’s investigation will be handed over to the DGP.
