Fatehabad News: Government is filing FIR against farmers to hide its failure: Mukesh Prajapati

  • The Congress leader said: The government should take care of DAP and wheat seeds and cases registered against farmers should be withdrawn.

(Fatehabad News) Fatehabad. Today, farmers in the state are facing the brunt of the government’s failure. Farmers do not receive DAP fertilizers or wheat seeds. Apart from that, the state government is trying to harass farmers by filing FIRs against them in the name of spreading pollution. Mukesh Prajapati, urban head of Congress OBC Cell, said this during a conversation with farmers. The Congress leader demanded the federal government to immediately provide adequate quantity of DAP fertilizer and wheat seeds to the farmers and while showing nobility, the cases registered against the farmers for stubble burning should be canceled with immediate effect.

The Congress leader said that after the rice harvest, farmers had to rush to the mandis to sell their crops. Using the excuse of humidity, they bought their crops at throwaway prices. After that, now farmers are forced to face all obstacles to sow wheat. Farmers have to queue all day waiting for the DAP. Despite this, they do not receive enough fertilizer. He said the government has all the data on wheat sowing and knows how much DAP fertilizer farmers need.

Despite this, the government did not provide DAP fertilizer on time, which is why farmers are facing problems today. Congress leader Mukesh Prajapati said the government is rapidly registering cases against farmers for stubble burning. The government itself has not made provisions for stubble management and to hide its failures, legal action is being taken against farmers, which is a sheer injustice. He said if the government had provided stubble management machines to farmers on time, then farmers would not have been forced to burn stubble. The time for sowing wheat is passing and farmers are forced to abandon their fields. He demanded the government to immediately withdraw the cases registered against the farmers.
