One dead in fight between groups of students at university
A violent clash took place between two groups of students from BIT Mesra (Birla Institute of Technology) in Ranchi, capital of Jharkhand, one of the most prestigious institutions in the country. One student has died in this confrontation. The deceased student has been identified as Raja Paswan. Raja Paswan, a student of BIT Mesra Polytechnic Department, Ranchi, got into a fight with students of another group on the night of November 14. Raja Paswan was seriously injured in the fight and was admitted to RIMS Hospital for treatment, where he died during treatment.
The deceased student Raja Paswan was a resident of Kokar, Ranchi. After the student’s death, his relatives created an uproar. On the matter, Sadar DSP Sanjeev Besra said that given the seriousness of the matter, a medical board is being formed and autopsy of the deceased student is being conducted. Furthermore, the police from BIT police station have started investigating the fight between students and identifying the accused.
Fights between groups of students

It is suspected that it may have occurred due to drunkenness or rags. During the rampage, students from another group brutally beat up Raja Paswan. During this time, an incident similar to the sexual abuse of girls took place. When this was protested, there was a fight between the two groups. The family members also accused the university management of hiding the matter of the assault from them. She was told that her son’s health had deteriorated because he was under the influence of alcohol. While there was a fight at the university that caused him to die.
