Today is the last day to withdraw your nomination from the Maharashtra Assembly elections. In such a situation, both the alliances i.e. Mahayuti and Mahavikas Aghadi parties are trying to persuade their respective rebels to withdraw their names from these elections which will make the electoral battle easier for their respective candidates. Meanwhile, news is coming that 3 big faces have withdrawn their names in this assembly elections. One of these names is that of the wife of former encounter specialist Pradeep Sharma. Sankveena Sharma, wife of former encounter specialist Pradeep Sharma, withdrew her nomination from the Andheri East Assembly today.
Shiv Sena was contesting the elections against the candidate.
Sankranti Sharma had contested as an independent candidate from Andheri East Assembly. He is challenging Shiv Sena candidate Murji Patel, but now Sankranti has withdrawn his name. However, no specific reason for retiring the name has yet been revealed.
Gopal Shetty withdrew his name
At the same time, the second name in the list of candidates who have withdrawn their name is Gopal Shetty. Shetty had filed a nomination against the BJP candidate from Borivali seat. But according to BJP leader Vinod Tawde, he is withdrawing from this electoral field and will now support the BJP candidate.
Manoj Jarange also put his feet back.
The third big name on the list is Manoj Jarange Patil, the leading face of the Maratha movement. Manoj had earlier said that he would campaign against many MLAs of the Mahayuti government, but has now withdrawn his statement and said that he has not supported any party or candidate in this election. He has also asked his followers to remove their names.
