Ambala News | Ambala Cantonment The birth anniversary of the country’s first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was celebrated under the chairmanship of former Assembly candidate and Congress leader Parvinder Singh Pari at Congress Bhawan, Ambala Cantonment, in which all the Congressmen presented their respects. Parvinder Singh Pari said in his speech that today is a very special day because today is also celebrated as Children’s Day.

It is celebrated in almost all educational institutions in India. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, also known as Chacha Nehru, used to say that today’s children will make tomorrow’s India, that is, the way we raise these little ones will decide the future of the country.

After his death, the anniversary of his birth was chosen as the date of Children’s Day. Pari said that was why the children affectionately called him Chacha Nehru because he was popular among the children. Nehru ji had a lot of affection for children, he loved to spend as much time as possible with children and was actively involved in the fight for children’s rights.

In this programme, where youth leader Himanshu Punj led the stage, students from various schools Banarsidas School, Farooq Khalsa School and Seva Samiti Girls School enthralled everyone with colorful programs and also highlighted the biography of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Ji. All children were honored with medals and school teachers were honored with trophies.

Neelam Sharma, former Municipal Council President, said that Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru inspires us and learns that children are the future of the country and by getting good education, they can ensure their participation in nation building.
