In view of the continued rise in AQI in Delhi, the committee has implemented GRAP Stage-IV restrictions across the NCR region, including Delhi. These restrictions will come into effect from 8 am on Monday, November 18, 2024. According to the daily AQI bulletin, Delhi’s daily average AQI was recorded at 441 at 4 pm today. In view of the change in AQI due to weather conditions in Delhi-NCR, the Sub-Committee to operationalize the Phased Response Action Plan in NCR and adjoining areas, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) convened a emergency meeting on Sunday, in which The subcommittee carried out a comprehensive review of the overall air quality scenario in the region, as well as meteorological conditions and air quality index forecasts.

According to data provided by IMD/IITM during the meeting, Delhi’s average AQI today was recorded at 441 at 4 pm, which continued to rise till 6 pm and reached 452 at 7 pm.

At the same time, considering the current trend of deteriorating air quality in NCR, an effort is being made to prevent further deterioration of air quality in the region, the subcommittee will announce Grape Stage IV this afternoon in The entire NCR, including Delhi, has announced the imposition of restrictions. These restrictions will come into effect from 8 a.m. on Monday.
