Who can forget the film ‘Golmaal: Fun Unlimited’ directed by Rohit Shetty in 2006. This film is considered the best comedy film of Rohit Shetty’s career. Ajay Devgan, Arshad Warsi, Sharman Joshi, Rimi Sen and Tusshar Kapoor played important roles in the film. Apart from these, Paresh Rawal’s role was also very interesting. He played the role of a blind man. The backdrop of the film was based on Goa. But from the beginning the shooting of the film was not going to take place in Goa. Thanks to Paresh Rawal, Rohit Shetty had changed his entire plan.

Actually, when Rohit Shetty decided to make Golmaal, he was going to shoot the film on a set in Mumbai. But due to Paresh Rawal, he had to shoot the film in Goa. Rohit Shetty said in an interview to Mashable India: “Goa started appearing in all the films, it was accidental… I just wanted Paresh Bhai for that character.”

Rohit Shetty arrived in Goa in search of Paresh Rawal

Rohit further said, “I narrated it to Paresh Bhai, but Paresh Bhai said he would do it, Rohit, but I am in Goa. I’ll be filming there for a month and a half or two, so it will be a little difficult for me to come and go. I said I want you only for this character. What happens if I come to Goa? He said then I can make time. I can do it by taking a break of two or three days in between. It was Priyan sir’s (Priyadarshan) film. With Shahid. In silence. Then we went to Goa. Otherwise it was going to be set in Bombay (Mumbai).
