Current Delhi Pollution Update, (Aaj Samaj), New Delhi: Due to the continuous increase in air pollution, GRAP-3 has been implemented in Delhi-NCR. The general air quality index (AQI) in the capital has exceeded 400 (serious category). On Thursday it had crossed 428. Let us tell you that the AQI is breaking records and seeing it continuously decreasing, the government has decided to implement Grape-3 in the national capital. To avoid illnesses due to pollution, people have been advised to leave their homes only when necessary and otherwise to stay at home.

  • Satisfactory between 51 and 100
  • Moderate between 101 and 200
  • bad between 201 to 300
  • Very bad between 301 and 400
  • Critical between 401 and 450

Know what is prohibited and what is allowed according to Grape-3

As per Grape-3 guidelines, there will be a ban on non-essential construction and mining work in Delhi today. Apart from this, any type of vandalism will also be prohibited until further notice. According to GRAP-), online classes will be held in all primary schools in Delhi from today. Other educational institutions can also serve their students virtually. Even interstate buses will not be allowed to enter Delhi. These have also been banned. Diesel and petrol buses will continue to operate as per BS-6 diesel standards.

Metro will make extra trips

Only electric and CNG buses will be allowed to run in Delhi-NCR. According to Group-3, the metro will make 20 more trips today. We tell you that under Grape-2, Metro is already making 40 additional trips. With the addition of 20 more trips, there will be a total of 60 additional trips per day. The Delhi government says more and more residents of the capital should use government vehicles to get around.

Worse for the health of the elderly and children.

Due to the increase in fog and smog, the poison dissolved in the air is worse for the health of the elderly and children. The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has given instructions to increase mechanical cleaning of roads. The CAQM has been asked to increase water spraying on roads in critical areas, especially during peak traffic hours.
