A gross negligence of the doctors of Darbhanga Medical College has come to light: during the delivery of a woman during the operation, the doctors left a cloth on her stomach. Because she left her clothes on, the woman constantly had stomach pain and her wound also did not dry out. For this reason he consulted a local private doctor. At a private hospital, the cloth was removed from the woman’s stomach. Her husband complained about this to the DMC superintendent.

According to information, this entire matter belongs to Darbhanga Medical College. Where on October 8, Shivam Thakur, a resident of Brahmapur West village in Jale police station area, admitted his wife Anjala Kumari to the gynecology department of DMCH. After the operation, his son was born. Anjala was discharged on October 14. However, he continued to feel pain at the operation site and his wound was not drying.

Cloth left on stomach during operation

When he got home, his pain continually increased. After which Shivam took his wife to a local private doctor. When he was examined after seeing the doctor, Tretra, i.e. a cloth used to clean the blood during the operation, was left at the operation site. From there they took the fabric. After this, Anjala’s family complained about the entire matter to the DMCH Superintendent.

What did the DMCH superintendent say?

DMCH Superintendent Dr Alka Jha said as soon as she came to know about this matter, she immediately called the patient from home. They sent an ambulance and called Anjala to the hospital where she is being examined. When giving evidence, he said that his priority is that the patient is completely healthy in any situation. He said pus is coming out of the wound. She herself is following this matter. He also met the patient Anjala. On the issue of the cloth that was left behind, he said that how the cloth was left is a matter of investigation and will be investigated.
