Municipal Commissioner gave clear instructions in meeting with officials
Gurugram News (Aaj Samaj) Gurugram: The third phase of the Phased Response Action Plan has been implemented by the Central Air Quality Management Commission. Under this, all types of construction and demolition, i.e. construction and demolition activities, are prohibited. Officers must ensure that it is strictly followed in their area and continuously monitor and take action against violators as per the rules. Gurugram Municipal Corporation Commissioner Ashok Kumar Garg gave these instructions to his subordinate officers.

In the meeting held at the office, he asked officials to continuously spray water on roads and trees, adhering to GRAP norms, so that dust particles do not fly into the air. Along with this, carry out continuous monitoring of the mechanized sweepers installed to clean the main roads. He said officials must ensure that no dust is visible on designated routes for sweeping machines. If dust is found, it will be understood that the machine is not performing its function correctly. Along with this, continue to update the CAQM by ensuring quick action on complaints received through social media, Sameer app and other media related to environmental pollution.

Water tankers will be increased to 28

Officials told the meeting that nine water tankers and three anti-smog guns are working to spray water on roads and trees. Starting Monday, the number of tankers will increase to 16, and until the end of next week, a total of 28 tankers will participate in water spraying work. The Municipal Commissioner also appealed to the citizens of Gurugram to follow the GRAP rules and if any person violates them, he should inform the Gurugram Municipal Corporation. According to Grape-3, all types of construction and demolition activities are prohibited.

He said burning of any type of waste, use of wood and charcoal in tandoor, transportation of construction materials and debris without covering, illegal dumping of garbage and debris, etc. are completely prohibited. Apart from issuing challan to the violators, the FIR will also be lodged as per various rules.
