A 3-match ODI series is being played between Australia and Pakistan. After winning the first match, hosts Australia lead 1-0 in the series. Now in the second ODI, both teams face each other at Adelaide Oval. Batting first, the Australian batsmen were exposed to Pakistan’s brilliant bowling. The Australian batsmen were seen struggling to score even a run. None of the batsmen bothered to settle at the crease, as a result of which the entire team collapsed in just 35 overs. Steve Smith scored the most runs for Australia. Off 48 balls, Smith played an innings of 35 runs with the help of 5 fours and 1 six. Apart from him, no other batsman could even touch the 20-run mark. In this way, Australia was out with 163 runs.
The credit for seeing off Australia on such a low score goes to Pakistan’s excellent bowling, who bowled strongly from the first over and did not allow any batsman from the host team to settle in the crease. Although all the bowlers performed brilliantly for Pakistan, Haris Rauf did wonders by taking 5 wickets. Rauf made Josh Inglis, Marnus Labuschagne, Aaron Hardy, Glenn Maxwell and Pat Cummins his victims. The fast bowler showed half of the Australian team the way to the pavilion by giving 35 runs in 8 overs. Thanks to this brilliant performance, Haris Rauf made history.

Actually, Haris Rauf is the first Pakistani fast bowler to take 5 wickets in an ODI match against Australia at Adelaide Oval. Overall, he is the second Pakistani bowler to do so. Earlier, spinner Saqlain Mushtaq had performed a great feat by taking 5 wickets against Australia on the same ground in 1996. Not only this, Haris is the third Pakistani bowler to take 5 wickets on this ground. Haris and Saqlain achieved this great feat in ODIs against Australia at the Adelaide Oval ground, while Sohail Khan achieved this great feat against India.
