Chandigarh News (Aaj Samaj) Chandigarh: Haryana’s new chief minister Nayab Saini will now travel in a new helicopter. The Haryana government purchased a new helicopter from Germany. The helicopter has arrived. Chief Minister Nayab Saini performed a formal puja before boarding the helicopter. The price of the helicopter purchased by the Haryana government is said to be Rs 80 crore. The approval for the purchase of this helicopter was given during the tenure of former CM Manohar Lal. But the matter was left in limbo due to a ban on purchasing new helicopters by the Finance Department. Which has already been approved. As soon as approval was received, the government purchased a new helicopter.
Earlier, the Haryana government had purchased a new helicopter in 2008. Now that helicopter had become old. The government purchased the new helicopter based on safety standards. The government was also spending more money on maintenance of older helicopters. That is why the government approved a proposal to buy a new helicopter.
