Now the elderly will receive the exit certificate while at home. The Postal Department of India has taken this step to solve the problems of senior citizens. So that older people can receive a pension while at home. Now the Post Office Department has launched the system of providing exit certificates to elderly pensioners by going door to door. As soon as the pensioners apply online, the postal department will provide them the benefit of this service at their doorstep.
For this, the postal department charges a fee of Rs 70. More than 200 elderly pensioners from Yamunanagar district have availed this facility of the postal department. The Indian Postal Department has launched a new digital life certificate service for the convenience of elderly pensioners. This service is managed by the India Post Payments Bank in collaboration with the Department of Pensions and Pensioners’ Welfare and the National Informatics Centre.
Digital life certificate will be issued
Under this, postmen will go to the address provided by the pensioner and issue a digital life certificate through Aadhaar-based biometric system. To avail this service, pensioners will have to provide only the Aadhar card number and pension details. Once the certificate is generated, the pensioner will receive a confirmation message on their registered mobile number. Thanks to this, all pensioners of the Central, State and Employees’ Provident Fund Organization will no longer need to go to the offices after obtaining the life certificate. To benefit from this service, pensioners can contact the nearest post office.
