Chandigarh News (Aaj Samaj) Chandigarh: The central and state governments have prepared a roadmap to improve the financial situation of power companies. Haryana power companies are A-plus rated and will now go public. Consent has been reached from the central and state governments. To reduce electricity consumption in the state, options to promote solar energy will be explored. On Friday, Union Minister for Power, Housing and Urban Development Manohar Lal held a meeting with the Haryana government to discuss all these issues. Many topics were agreed upon at the meeting and instructions were given to prepare action plans for many topics.
Under the leadership of Manohar Lal as Chief Minister, line loss in Haryana electricity department has reduced from 34 per cent to 11 per cent and all power companies have come out of losses and come under A-plus category . Public contributions are now being prepared to improve the financial situation of electricity companies. With this, businesses will become self-reliant, which will prove to be a guide for other states as well. The Central Government committed to comply with the requirements for transmission lines and RDSS.
The smart city works will be completed within a certain period
The cities of Karnal and Faridabad have been selected by the Central Government for the Smart City Project. The works will be completed in both cities within the established deadline. In this regard, the Union Housing and Urban Development Minister instructed the officials that work on smart city related projects should be done expeditiously. Haryana will also get a nice gift under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. The central government has set a target of building houses for one million people across the country. Beneficiaries will be selected and given homes and a survey will be conducted for new beneficiaries.
Metro projects will gain momentum
Metro projects are underway in the state including Gurugram, Faridabad, Bahadurgarh and areas adjacent to Delhi. On behalf of the Haryana government, the demand for a new metro was raised before Union Minister Manohar Lal. In these, a metro project was requested from Ambala city to Ambala cantonment and Yamunanagar and Jagadhri. An action plan will be developed based on the new demand. Along with this, 450 new buses will be launched under the Pradhan Mantri E-Bus Seva Yojana.
Under the Swachh Bharat Mission, the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign will be started in Haryana and Jammu. Processing plants will be set up to solve the problem of dirt in metropolitan cities. Jammu is an integral part of the country, Article 370 will not be withdrawn While speaking to the media, Union Minister Manohar Lal said that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of the country.
Article 370 will not be withdrawn at any price.
The central government has accepted the demand of granting full statehood to Kashmir. He said some shortcomings remained in drafting the Constitution, but the people of the country demanded that Article 370 be abolished and that Jammu and Kashmir be made an integral part of the country. The plan of any force, party or individual in the country to bring back Article 370 will not succeed. On the allegations of EVM hacking by the Congress State President, the Union Minister clarified that Chief Minister Nayab Saini had already made it clear that the public will respond to him and say that EVMs are bad.
