Chandigarh News (Aaj Samaj) Chandigarh: At the meeting of High Power Purchase Committee (HPPC), Departmental High Power Purchase Committee (DHPPC) and High Power Works Purchase Committee (HPWPC) held under the chairmanship of Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini, contracts worth more than Rs 2,050 crore were negotiated and several items were awarded. The purchase was approved. Various water supply and sewerage management projects worth Rs 729 million were approved in the meeting. They have saved around Rs 36 crore by fixing the rates after negotiating with various bidders. Cabinet ministers Mahipal Dhanda, Vipul Goyal, Dr Arvind Kumar Sharma, Ranbir Gangwa and Shruti Chaudhary were also present in the meeting. A total of 49 agendas related to the departments of Public Health Engineering, Irrigation and Water Resources, GMDA, Public Works (Buildings and Roads), Sugarfed, School Education and Police were presented at the meeting, of which 45 were approved.

96.95 crore will be spent on canal based water supply scheme in 7 villages of Rewari.

In the meeting, 60 MLD capacity water treatment plant was announced in Jind city at a cost of Rs 90 crore, development of canal based water supply scheme in 7 villages of Rewari district at a cost of Rs 15 million and water supply in Palwal and Nuhan at a cost of Rs 90 million. Construction of 4 rainwells in Chandhat and Janacholi villages at a cost of Rs 96.95 million was also approved to increase the population. Apart from these, other projects include expansion of water supply scheme, construction of sewage facilities and sewage treatment plant in Bahal village, installation of sewage facilities and sewage treatment plant in Malab village, Nuh district under Mahagram scheme, Firozpur Jhirka town (under AMRUT-2.0). Drilling work of tube wells, 2 underground tanks and pumping machinery, construction of 4 MLD capacity water treatment plant at Bhattu Kalan, 3 MLD water treatment plant at Ganaur and construction of water works and station structures reinforcement, including laying of distribution pipelines and industrial waste disposal at Jagadhri. and Yamunanagar. This includes the construction of a wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 19.50 MLD. In the meeting, approval was given to the EPC contractor for the construction of Baba Sarsai Nath Government Medical College, Sirsa. This will cost approximately Rs 832 crore. It will be ready in 24 months.

11 projects worth Rs 249.77 crore approved by Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority

In the meeting, 11 Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority projects worth Rs 249.77 crore were also approved. Approved the contract for supply, installation, integration and commissioning of Centralized Integrated Water Management System (CIWMS) at a cost of Rs 16.40 crore. Apart from these, reconstruction, strengthening and repair works of 6 road projects of 174 km were also approved at a cost of approximately Rs 170 million. These mainly include reconstruction of road from Dwarka Expressway to IMT Manesar and reconstruction of service road from Mehrauli Road Delhi Haryana Border to IFFCO Chowk and Sector 58 to 67.

Apart from this, development of a bus station for electric buses in Sector-48, Gurugram at a cost of Rs 17.34 crore, a queue stand for buses in Sector 99-115 in GMDA area at a cost of Rs 19.73 crore in Sector 68-95. Gurugram has also received approval to construct a bus queue shelter along the Dwarka Expressway at a cost of Rs 17.35 crore. The construction work of Foot Over Bridge (FOB) in GMDA area was also approved.

Approval for selection of mining developer for allotted coal block in Jharkhand

In the meeting, selection of Mine Developer and Operator (MDO) for Kalyanpur-Badalpara coal block allotted to Haryana government in Dumka district of Jharkhand was also finalized. In the first phase, MDO will prepare a report on the quantity and quality of coal in this coal block and submit it to the government. Apart from this, the textbooks/workbooks for classes 1, 2, 7 and 8 under (Group-1) and classes 3, 4, 5 and 6 under (Group-E AA) for the academic year 2025 -26 were discussed in Printing and supply rates were also finalized in the meeting. In the meeting, the Chief Minister gave strict instructions to improve the quality of book paper and ensure timely supply.

The meeting also approved the purchase of 66 128GB RAM workstations and 44 256GB RAM workstations for Haryana Space Applications Center (HRSAC), CCSHAU Campus, Hisar. Apart from this, the agency’s task to maintain IT infrastructure and basic IT equipment installed in various government institutions was also finalized. The meeting also approved the purchase of PP bags and jute bags for the 2024-25 crushing season.
