Tosham. Haryana Ponds Authority Chief Advisor Prabhakar Kumar Verma on Wednesday inspected the ongoing restoration work of ponds in Tosham assembly constituency of Bhiwani district. Before the inspection, he met Panchayati Raj officials at the Public Works Department rest house and took information about the ongoing works in Bhiwani district. During this, he spoke about the progress of ongoing work in the district.
He instructed the officials that the ponds where work is being carried out and tenders underway should be completed at the earliest and special attention should be paid to the maintenance and cleaning of the ponds which have been converted into Amrit Sarovar. In addition to this, strict instructions were given to the officials that whenever deficiencies were found in the ponds or complaints were received, they should be rectified at the earliest and reported to the authorities.
After the meeting, Prabhakar Kumar Verma inspected the nectar lakes in villages (Jitanwas, Khaparwas, Indiwali, Khanak) of Tosham assembly constituency. Guidelines were given to correct deficiencies found in the lakes during the inspection. Sarpanch and villagers were also present during the inspection. Prabhakar Kumar Verma urged the villagers to cooperate in maintaining the cleanliness and beauty of the lake. Do not throw garbage into the pond and plant “a tree in the name of the Mother” on several occasions in the pond and at various town festivals, gather at the pond and clean it. During the inspection, water samples were also taken to check the quality of the water in the lakes, which will be analyzed in the authority’s laboratory. During this, Panchayati Raj Executive Engineer Sambhav Jain and other Panchayati Raj officials were present.
