Electoral districts in many districts will make the decision on opening schools today
Chandigarh News (Aaj Samaj) Chandigarh: Due to rising pollution, schools are open today in only two of the 14 districts of Haryana included in Delhi-NCR. Schools remain closed in the remaining districts. Today DC will make decisions at its level about opening schools in other districts. However, pollution is still at dangerous levels in the districts adjacent to Delhi. So the decision has been made to close the school even today. The districts where schools are closed include many districts including Faridabad, Gurugram, Sonipat, Charkhi Dadri and Jhajjar.
A district level review meeting will be held today regarding the opening of schools in these districts. Environmentalists say the danger still remains. It has definitely decreased, but the level of pollution is dangerous. Schools are open today only in Karnal and Jind. The DCs of these two districts made this decision keeping the children’s education in mind. Schools will open in Panipat from Tuesday too.
Day and night temperatures will increase
However, the Meteorological Department has predicted clear weather for the next two days. So there is the possibility of reducing environmental pollution. There will be no fog for the next 2 days. Due to the good sun during the day, day and night temperatures will increase. The most important thing is that as soon as the weather opens, there has been a reduction in pollution. The average air quality index has fallen below 300 in most districts of the state. Palwal had the lowest air quality index of 77 and Faridabad had the highest of 293. While in Faridabad the maximum reached 500. The average air quality index in 11 cities of the state was between 200 to 300 and in 6 cities between 100 and 200.
