A sensational case has come to light in the Shahpur police station area of Gorakhpur district in Uttar Pradesh. Here a young man married a local girl for love in the temple. He made her his wife and lived in a rented house for seven years. When he was satisfied with her, he would leave her and marry someone else. The girl complained to the police. The police arrested the young man even before the procession took place. When the bride’s side found out about this, they broke up the marriage.
The victim told the police that when she was a teenager, a local Mahendra Raj befriended her. I used to go back and forth with her everywhere. Mahendra used to praise her beauty. He proposed to her. The victim said that at first she refused to marry him. But he stood his ground. After his repeated insistence, she agreed to the marriage. It is alleged that during this period Mahendra also had relations with her several times. But then he began to avoid marriage.

The victim told that the accused Mahendra used to insist on marrying her after having a relationship with her. On her insistence, he married her in a temple in 2017. It is alleged that even after this, Mahendra continued dating her just to have a relationship. After much pressure, he found her a room to rent. I used to visit him often. When the victim insisted on staying with her family, he said he would accept her only after convincing her family.
He married for the second time on November 22.
The victim said that the accused Mahendra had been doing this for seven years, but he did not take her home. For a few days he stopped going to her. Every time he came, I used to fight with him. It later came to light that she too had been secretly tilaked to get married elsewhere. He was not aware of this at all. Their wedding date also fell on November 22. The victim said that he received a call. They told him that Mahendra was about to leave with a wedding procession for his second marriage. Once the victim found out about this, he came home. When I looked there, the wedding procession was ready.

He picked up the phone for the fourth time and started to get angry. When she asked him about a second marriage, he became angry. Mahendra allegedly threatened to kill the victim. Upon his complaint, the police arrived at the scene and arrested the young man.

When the girl’s relatives found out where the wedding procession was going to take, they immediately broke off the marriage relationship. On this matter, SP City Abhinav Tyagi said that a girl had complained. She called herself the defendant’s wife. Despite this, the young man was going to marry for the second time.
