Mohammad Aman will lead the Indian team in the U-19 Asia Cup. Mohammad Aman is a resident of Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Initially he used to play at his home, after which he started playing at the city’s Ambedkar Stadium from 2014.
Lost parents at the age of 16.
Mohammad Aman’s mother Saiba left this world in 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic. While his father Mehtab was a truck driver and died in the year 2022. That means Aman lost his parents at the age of 16. But he never gave up. He had told in an interview that there was a time when he used to play cricket with a bat and borrowed shoes.
After the death of his parents, he took responsibility for his three younger brothers and also continued with the sport. During that time, he also looked for work in Saharanpur to support his family, but did not find any work. After this, some people came up to help him. Mohammad Aman also said that there was a time when he had to sleep on an empty stomach. But he continued playing. So far, Aman has played in Under-14, Under-16 and Under-19 cricket. In early 2023, he was named captain of the Uttar Pradesh under-19 team. He recently captained India’s ODI team against Australia’s Under-19 team.
