Police arrested five

A case of forgery has come to light in Belipar police station area in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. Here, a gang of five youths were engaged in making fake 100 rupee notes. Fake notes worth Rs 1,03,000, a color printer and an Ertiga vehicle were recovered from the gang members who were caught by the police. The police have registered a case against the five.

According to an official, information was received about the circulation of fake notes in the markets in the Belipar police station area. For this the police had deployed their informants. SP South Jitendra Kumar said that meanwhile information was received that an Ertiga vehicle carrying fake currency notes was heading towards a nearby market. On this information, Belipar police station and Bhowvapar outpost police were immediately alerted. Vehicle inspection began. Meanwhile, Ertiga’s car was seen coming.

Police recovered counterfeit bills

When the police officers signaled for him to stop, the driver increased the speed of the vehicle. However, the police stopped the vehicle. When the vehicle was searched, fake currency notes worth Rs 1 lakh 3000 were recovered. These notes were in bundles of 100 rupees. Police arrested five people who were sitting in the Ertiga vehicle. However, locals say that another youth was traveling in that vehicle, but due to the influence of Pradhan’s father, he was released by the police, although the police deny this.

Police said that the leader of this gang is a young man named Prashant. Initially he started the business of making fake currency notes by himself. After that he added four more people one by one. The target of these people was small markets. This bill was easy to circulate in small markets. Their goal was to circulate counterfeit bills in small packages, so that no one would suspect them, but when this news spread a little, the police employed informants and that is why they captured these people.

Kingpin Prashant said we had bought good quality paper and color printer. By copying the photo, the ₹100 note looked exactly like the original. There was not much difficulty in handling the large notes and there was not much hesitation in handling the wad of 100 rupees. Although we were planning that if we found a gang handling big bills, we would make a deal with them and supply them to them, but before that, the police caught us.

What did the policeman say?

In this regard, Dr Gaurav Grover of the SSP said that the police were alert ever since they received such a complaint. Not only this, the police were continuously investigating them through their informants, when accurate information was received, this action was taken under the leadership of SP South.
