Hemant Soren to take oath as CM

Hemant Soren will take oath as the 14th chief minister of Jharkhand on Thursday. The oath ceremony was organized at Morhabadi Ground in Ranchi. Several prominent leaders and dignitaries of the “India” alliance are expected to attend the oath-taking ceremony. Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar will take oath of secrecy to Hemant Soren at 4 pm on Thursday. Hemant Soren will become Jharkhand Chief Minister for the fourth time. In the assembly elections, Soren won the Barhet seat by defeating BJP’s Gamliyal Hembram by a margin of 39,791 votes.

Hemant congratulated the audience.

Soren said: “I am grateful to the people of Jharkhand for their continued faith in our leadership. This victory reflects the aspirations of the people and we will work to fulfill them, it is the victory of the people and the victory of their vision of a peaceful and progressive Jharkhand.” Soren’s party is under the leadership of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM).

Hemant appealed to the people

Soren appealed to people to attend his swearing-in ceremony and also shared a YouTube link where the event will be streamed live. Signs have been posted throughout the city and special safety and traffic provisions have been put in place. Congress general secretary and Jharkhand in-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir said Soren is expected to take oath alone and the cabinet will be expanded after the vote of confidence in the assembly.

Many leaders of the Indian alliance will be included.

The oath-taking ceremony included Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Minister Chief Minister of Meghalaya Conrad Sangma, Chief Minister of Punjab Bhagwant Mann and Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Sukhwinder. Singh Sukhu is likely to be involved.

Other prominent leaders expected to attend the oath-taking ceremony include CPI (ML) Liberation General Secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal, Shiv Sena leader (Ubatha), Uddhav Thackeray, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and the People’s Democratic Party. (PDP) Mehbooba Mufti, Tamil Nadu’s Udhayanidhi Stalin, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar and Bihar Opposition Leader Tejashwi Yadav.
