The Indian unit of Japanese two-wheeler manufacturing company Honda Motorcycle and Scooter on Wednesday launched its two electric scooters ‘Activa E’ and ‘QC1’. The company has entered this segment in India with these products. According to PTI News, although the company has not yet revealed the price of these two scooters, with the new offer it has said that its booking will start from January 1, 2025. The delivery of the scooter will start from February.
Interchangeable battery technology in Activa E
According to the news, Yogesh Mathur, Director Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, said that with the interchangeable battery technology of the Activa E and the fixed battery configuration of the QC1, along with the hassle-free ownership experience that is the best in the industry, we are committed to providing the best experience to our customers by trying to satisfy different types of needs. He said that with each step forward, we focus on building a future that is safer, more sustainable and meets the changing needs of our society.
Range 102 kilometers
The company says the new electric scooters are in line with Honda’s global “Triple Action to Zero” concept to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, which focuses on three areas: carbon neutrality, clean energy and resource mobility. . The Activa E features a modern design, a 7-inch TFT screen with LED light. Other features of the electric scooter include the Honda RoadSync Duo app for connectivity and H-Smart keyless ignition. The electric scooter is equipped with two interchangeable Honda Mobile Power Pack e: batteries, each with a capacity of 1.5 kWh and a range of 102 km.
The QC1 has a 1.5 kWh battery, whose range is said to be 80 kilometers. This battery takes about 4.5 hours to charge from 0 to 80 percent, while it takes about seven hours to fully charge.
