How much money is left in which team’s pocket after the IPL 2025 auction?

The two-day auction for IPL 2025 has ended. During this period, the 10 teams spent money like water. Huge offers worth millions of rupees were made for each player. In a short time millions of rupees were lost. Now the teams are ready for next season’s Indian Premier League. The IPL is believed to be played in March. Meanwhile, the question is whether the teams will have any money left after the auction. So the answer is yes. If the teams wanted, they could have bought more players for this amount.

Rishabh Pant becomes the most expensive player in IPL history

Rishabh Pant has now become the most expensive player in the IPL. Mitchell Starc was in possession of this chair for the first two days but LSG i.e. Lucknow Super Giants broke this record by signing Pant for Rs 27 crore. A total of 182 players were purchased by the teams in the auction that lasted two days. Includes 62 foreign players. This time, BCCI had also given RTM i.e. Right to Match card to the teams, under which a total of eight players have remained in their old team. If we talk about the total expenditure in two days, the teams spent Rs 639.15 million.

RCB has the highest purse even after the auction

Now, if we talk about the purse left for the teams, then RCB is the one that has saved the most money. The team has saved Rs 75 lakh. However, the team has only bought 22 players and not 25. If the team had wanted, they could have bought two more players at the base price of Rs 30 lakh, but that was not the case. After this, the Punjab Kings have saved Rs 35 lakh. The team had all 25 players on their roster, meaning they had no room to buy more players. The Rajasthan Royals team also saved Rs 30 lakh. The team bought 20 players. They could have bought another player for Rs 30 lakh.

Only three teams kept 25 players on their roster.

As per BCCI rules, IPL teams can have a minimum of 18 and a maximum of 25 players in their squad. All teams had to follow the minimum. If we talk about the maximum squad of players, then only three teams were left with 25 players. Chennai Super Kings complete 25 players, only Rs 5 lakh left. The Gujarat Titans have also completed their 25 players. The team now has only Rs 15 lakh left. Apart from this, Punjab Kings have also completed 25 players.
