He used to stay at his village house during the day and pretend to be on duty at night. He owned a Wagner car and always wore the uniform of the Haryana police and had a nameplate of a police officer outside his rented house. After which he betrayed the village youth and escaped with his car. After which he complained to the Derabassi police. After which the victims found his home address on the license plate of his Wagoneer car. After which he was identified as Nirvel Singh and his wife Parminderjit Kaur, residents of Jansui village, Ambala district, living under the assumed name of Raghbir Singh in Karkaur village of Derabassi. About which he has informed the Derabassi police.
He said that when they entered his house, he had the same motorcycle and Activa with which he had fled from Karkor village. When he asked the villagers about the said person, they told him that he rarely comes to this house.
