I went to Congress to become CM, I had explained a lot… CM Shinde’s goal in Uddhav

Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has targeted Uddhav Thackeray. He said that he had explained many things to him (Uddhav Thackeray). He went to the Congress to become CM. Balasaheb used to say to keep the Congress away. Our party was facing losses, so we toppled the Maharashtra government and formed a Shiv Sena-BJP coalition government in Maharashtra.

Speaking to news agency ANI, CM Shinde said that the previous government was against Balasaheb’s ideas. Referring to the division in the party, CM Shinde said that I was part of the Maha Vikas Aghadi government, but the government formed was against the ideals of Balasaheb Thackeray. Uddhav Thackeray formed an alliance with the Congress for personal interests, which Balasaheb never wanted.

As Shiv Sena workers, we followed party discipline. We tried to form a Shiv Sena-BJP coalition government but failed. Our party and our workers had to suffer losses. After this we decided to listen to the people of Maharashtra. Our party was on the verge of collapse, so we overthrew the government and formed a coalition government between the BJP and Shiv Sena.

I understand CM means “common man” – Shinde

Shinde said I am happy that Prime Minister Modi himself has appreciated the work we have done in the last two years. The central and state governments are governments with the same ideology. We have benefited a lot from this. I take CM to mean “common man.” Referring to Mahayuti’s achievements, CM Shinde said that during his government, Maharashtra remained on top in many areas, be it GDP, FDI, GST or cleanliness. He said the state invested more than Rs 5 lakh crore during his government alone.

‘The previous government worked for itself’

At the same time, on the opposition’s allegations, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that the opposition felt that they were puppets. They didn’t know we would execute such big plans. The industry will trust us. Our government is working for the people. The previous government worked on its own. He used to work to build his own property. Apart from this, CM Shinde expressed his views on many other issues. He also reacted on issues like Nawab Malik’s assassination, Baba Siddiqui, Arvind Sawant’s comment on Shaina NC, Raj Thackeray.

‘If Bala Saheb had been there, he would have broken his face’

On Arvind Sawant’s comment on Shaina NC, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that it is very unfortunate to talk like this about a sister, one cannot condemn it enough. If Balasaheb Thackeray had been alive now, he would have really broken his face. That is its nature. Even when we were in Guwahati, our women were defamed like this. Definitely all the sisters will teach those people a lesson in the next elections. Meanwhile, on Baba Siddiqui’s murder, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that the incident is very unfortunate. The government will go to the root of this incident and whoever is responsible will not be spared.
