In such a situation, if there is any case of electoral irregularities or violation of code of conduct, any citizen can file a complaint online through C-Vigil app. The complaint must be resolved within 100 minutes, keeping the identity of the complainant secret.
Continuing, District Election Officer/DM Avinash Singh said in view of the Katehari Assembly by-elections that the Election Commission of India has provided the facility of C Vigil app to the general public for transparent, free, voting. fair and peaceful. Through this application, the general public can report violations of the Model Code of Conduct online. This application will remain active from the date of the election announcement until one day after the vote. C Vigil app is useful to immediately curb election irregularities. In this way, cases of violation of the Model Code of Conduct can also be easily reported to the Election Commission of India. The Sea Vigil app requires an Android smartphone with a camera, internet connection and GPS. Any citizen can take a photo of the violation of the Model Code of Conduct or record a video of maximum 2 minutes and send it to the application. The identity of the sender of a photo or video submitted in connection with an MCC violation is kept confidential. He said that with the help of GPS the place of the complaint is identified and the complaint is verified and resolved within a maximum period of 100 minutes.
To do this, the complainant also receives a unique identification, through which he or she can also know the procedure taken regarding the complaint. Photos and videos already taken cannot be uploaded to this application. During the training, district probation officer Rakesh Kumar, district minority welfare officer Chhotalal, e-district manager Ajaz Rasool and other staff deployed in the control room were present at the spot.
