‘If I am linked to Dawood, I will file a defamation case…’, says NCP leader Nawab Malik – NCP leader Nawab Malik says if I am linked to Dawood, I will file a defamation case ntc

Ahead of the Maharashtra Assembly elections, NCP leader Nawab Malik made a big statement. He said he will file a defamation case against those linking him to Dawood. Nawab Malik is contesting the elections from Mankhurd-Shivaji Nagar this time.

In an interview given to Aaj Tak, Nawab Malik pleaded not guilty in the ED case related to fugitive gangster Dawood Ibrahim. He said that I am innocent and that I have been involved in this case. I will take legal action against those leaders who have claimed my connection with Dawood. My team is working on it.

Nawab Malik said that he is not interested in becoming a minister and this is his last election. He said after I got out on bail, I started sitting in my office. Then I realized that my daughter Sana Malik had worked for this constituency and so I decided that she should contest from Anushakti Nagar. But the people of Mankhurd asked me to participate in the elections. I will win and eliminate the drug mafia from this area. I am no longer interested in being a minister.

When asked about Uddhav Thackeray’s work as Chief Minister in the MVA regime, Nawab Malik said that whenever necessary, he was available for meetings. Whatever files were sent to him, he used to study them and work on them instead of stopping them. His working style was similar to that of former Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh. Malik also said that Ajit Pawar can be the king maker for the next government.

He said politics in Maharashtra has become about power, there is no ideology anymore. Those who are together today, there is no guarantee that they will remain together even after the elections. One thing is certain: Ajit Pawar will be the kingmaker in forming the state’s next government.
