We also complained about this to the Municipal Council, but instead of releasing the encroachment, an attempt is now being made to forcibly occupy the cremation ground land, which is 2 bighas and 10 twenty acres.
He also alleged that the occupation of two hectares was done with the connivance of the Municipal Council because without the connivance of the officials how can anyone take possession of State lands. Which should be investigated. People were saying that if the council wants to take Panchayat land here, then it should vacate these two acres and build a landfill there. We don’t have any problem. People said that despite being on the Municipal Council they do not have facilities:

The people said that they will organize a permanent dharna here on November 27 in which they will take the support of Bharatiya Kisan Union Sidhupur and if necessary, they will go on a hunger strike.
