According to information received, on Diwali night in Chheetar Bigha village of Karayaparsurai Police Station area, some goons beat up a Mahadalit family and set their house on fire. According to information, Mangal Manjhi lived in a hut in the village. Four to five drunken thugs began beating the Mahadalit family. After this, the thugs set fire to the cabin-like house of the victim’s family.

Although no member of the household suffered any harm due to this arson incident, all property kept in the house was reduced to ashes. Here it is said in the area that the attackers first drank alcohol and then asked for matches to smoke cigarettes. The victim did not hand over the matchbox. Police registered a case against 4 people
Regarding this incident, police station chief Amit Kumar said that a case has been registered against a total of four persons as accused. The police have started investigating the matter. The incident is said to have occurred due to non-delivery of matches. After receiving information about the incident, the police immediately rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control with the help of nearby people.
