GATE 2025: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has made an important announcement for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025. Candidates will now have the option to choose one of two new paper combinations. These are in addition to the two-role combinations available in the normal and enhanced application windows. Candidates who have already registered for the GATE 2025 exam can now add a new exam from November 14 to 20, 2024.
Candidates registering for GATE 2025 who had previously taken only one exam can now add a second exam in one of the new two-exam combinations to their application. Candidates can make this change by paying the regular fees without any penalty. With this, candidates who have already selected two jobs will be able to change only their second job. Candidates who wish to add a second job to the existing combination of two jobs will have to pay additional fees along with the regular fees.
GATE 2025 Exam Date: GATE Exam will be held in February
GATE 2025 will be conducted by IIT Roorkee on February 1, 2, 15 and 16, 2025 in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. The questionnaires will be in English and candidates will have to choose the eligible job along with a main job. However, due to logistical constraints, the exam center for the second exam may be different from the first exam, but will remain in the same city.
When will I receive the GATE admit card?
Admit cards will be available in January, giving candidates ample time to prepare through official mock tests designed to simulate the real exam environment. The official website also notes that “In unforeseen circumstances, some combinations may be removed from the above table at a later date. In such cases, the fee paid for the second exam will be refunded to the candidates.”
