This matter came to light on November 24, about 15 days after the murder, when a stray dog was seen with some parts of its body mutilated near Jordag village police station in Jariagarh. After that, the police investigated the matter and arrested the accused boyfriend. During the police interrogation, he told why he had murdered his partner.
Both of them were living in a relationship in Tamil Nadu.
Naresh Bhengra was in a relationship with a 24-year-old girl from Khunti district in Tamil Nadu for the past few years. Some time ago the accused returned to Jharkhand and without telling his partner, he married another woman. After that, he left his wife in Jharkhand, returned to Tamil Nadu and started living with his girlfriend.

Khunti SP Aman Kumar told news agency PTI: “This brutal incident took place on November 8, when they reached Khunti because the accused had married for the second time, so he did not want to take his girlfriend home. Inspector Ashok Singh, who investigated the case, said the man worked in a butcher shop in Tamil Nadu and was an expert in cutting chicken. “He admitted that he cut parts of the woman’s body into 40 to 50 pieces and then left them in the forest to be eaten by wild animals,” the inspector told PTI. Police recovered several body parts after a dog with one hand was seen in the area on November 24.
