The main canteen selling prasad was run by the temple trust from the beginning and its business was good. Every year, 50 to 75 lakh devotees visit the ancient cave temple of Baba Balak Nath. They offer ‘Rot’, sweets and other things as ‘Prasad’ to Baba Balak Nath.

Meanwhile, reports of three out of 17 samples from the Kandaghat laboratory have come in. Of these, two were found to be of poor quality and one had the wrong brand name written on it. On Wednesday, Jagdish Dhiman, deputy director of the Food Safety and Standards Branch, said: “Action is being taken in this regard.”
