A major action by the Income Tax Department came to light during the assembly elections in Jharkhand. Raids are being carried out at the residences of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s personal advisor Sunil Srivastava and many others. The Income Tax Department team is carrying out this raid. According to the information received so far, raids are being carried out at seven places in Ranchi and many places in Jamshedpur city.
Earlier, on October 14, in connection with the Jal Jeevan Mission scam case, the Directorate of Transformation team had raided the premises of Hemant Soren government’s cabinet minister Mithilesh Thakur’s brother Vinay Thakur, the private secretary Harendra Singh and several engineers of the department.

When are the assembly elections?
There are only a few days left for the assembly election process to begin in Jharkhand. Meanwhile, the Income Tax Department has taken this step. Elections will be held for 81 seats in Jharkhand in two phases. Voting will be held for 43 seats in the first phase on November 13. After this, voting will be held on 38 seats on November 20. The results of the elections will be announced on November 23.
