IND vs AUS: A five-match Test series is being played between India and Australia. Team India seems to be in a very strong position in the first match of this series. The Indian team may have scored just 150 runs in the first innings of the match and were out, but the Indian batsmen performed amazingly in the second innings of this match. Meanwhile, Team India’s young star batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal has scored a brilliant century. This century was historic for him and India. After almost 47 years, an Indian batsman has scored such a special century in Australia.

Why is Jaiswal’s century special?

India’s star batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal completed his century in 205 balls in the first Test match against Australia. Let us tell you that this is Jaiswal’s first Test match in Australia. Previously, in India, only two batsmen had scored a century in their first Test match in Australia. Jaiswal has become the third Indian batsman to do so. Making a century in Australia is one of the toughest tasks and Jaiswal did it in his first Test match. He was out in the first innings of this match, but in the second innings he proved his worth with his brilliant batting.

These hitters did this

Before Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sunil Gavaskar had done it in the Test match played in Brisbane in 1977. In such a situation, after 47 years, an Indian batsman scored a century in his first Australian Test match. This feat was first achieved by Motaganahalli Jayasimha in 1968. He also did it in a test match played in Brisbane. In the year 2014, Team India’s opening batsman Murali Vijay got a chance to do this, but in the Adelaide Test, Murali Vijay was left out after scoring 99 runs.
