The travel platform said in a statement that bookings for honeymoon packages in the Maldives decreased 16.2 percent year-on-year, while the share of all other major international destinations – Indonesia, Mauritius and Vietnam increased this year. Maldives, which topped the ranking last year, has been surpassed this year by Thailand. Thailand’s reserve share grew by 5.2 percent annually, surpassing the Maldives. Nationally, Andaman has overtaken Kerala as the most booked honeymoon destination. Honeymoon package bookings for Andaman have increased by 6.9 per cent year-on-year. Reservations in Kashmir increased by 3.6 per cent and reached third place.
