India remains prominent even among large economies
The Russian president said that cooperation between Russia and India is continuously growing and we are developing our relations with New Delhi in various fields. He said that India is a huge country and if we look at the speed at which it is progressing economically, there is no need to include it in the list of world superpowers. Vladimir Putin said India’s gross domestic product (GDP) is growing at a rate of 7.4 percent.

The Russian president described the relationship between the two countries as very special and said that the Soviet Union had also played an important role in India’s achievement of independence. He said that apart from being a country of one and a half billion people, India is also one of the fastest growing economies in the world. India also occupies a prominent place among large economies in terms of economic development, which is why it needs to be included in the list of global superpowers.
