Learning from the problems during festivals, Indian Railways decided to launch a super app. This super app will be launched by the end of December 2024. Through this, information regarding ticket booking, train information on the platform, food distribution and train running status can be obtained. The Indian Railways Super App will be different from the existing all-in-one IRCTC app.
In this super app of Indian Railways, passengers will get all the information related to railways. Through this super app, passengers will be able to book tickets, purchase platform passes and monitor schedules. It is being developed by the Railway Information System Center. This app will work seamlessly with existing IRCTC systems. Its services include ticket booking, food delivery, feedback, train tracking, etc.
What will happen now with IRCTC?
Currently, passengers use the IRCTC app to book tickets online. Through this application you can also buy plane tickets and you can also order food on the train. Apart from this, there are many other features in this app. After the launch of the new Indian Railways app, IRCTC will continue to be CRIS’ interface with passengers. Its facilities will continue to operate as before.
There were problems due to lack of trains.
Indian Railways is trying to reduce people’s problems by introducing a new app, but the real problem was due to shortage of trains. A large number of people move from one state to another for work and return home during the holidays. During this time there is a shortage of trains. Even a large number of special trains is not enough for passengers. It is clear from this that railways should run trains by laying additional lines and state governments should provide employment to reduce labor migration.
