Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan
Addressing an election rally in Jharkhand on Friday, Union minister and BJP election in-charge Shivraj Singh Chauhan expressed serious concern over the infiltration taking place in the state. He accused Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) that infiltration in the state is being carried out under its patronage.
The BJP leader said, “India is not a Dharamshala, where anyone can come and settle. Describing foreign infiltrators as a serious threat to the State, he said this country is ours, our resources are ours and we will not allow anyone to take them away from us.
Infiltration under the protection of JMM
Chouhan alleged that infiltrators take advantage of tribal daughters of the state and marry them. He accused the alliance led by JMM of providing protection to infiltrators. The BJP in charge alleged that the coalition government in the state is including infiltrators in the voters’ list, manufacturing their Aadhaar cards and ration cards. The BJP leader said that due to this reason the tribal population in Santhal Pargana has reduced to 28 per cent, when it was 44 per cent earlier.
Will implement NRC in the state.
The Union Minister said that if the BJP comes to power in the state, the National Register of Citizens (NRC) will be implemented and infiltrators will be expelled. Chauhan said if he comes to power in the state, cow smugglers will not be spared under any circumstances and strict action will be taken against them.
Voting will be held in two phases for the assembly elections in the state. The first phase of voting will be held on November 13 and the second phase of voting will be held on November 20. The results of the elections in the state will be known on November 20. The election in the state is primarily between two alliances including the BJP-led NDA and the Congress-led India Alliance.
