- Krishi Vigyan Kendra continuously strives to increase farmers’ income: Dr Dheeraj Panghal
(Jind News) Jind. A program was organized at Krishi Vigyan Kendra to provide information to students about the centre’s role in increasing farmers’ income, importance of soil and water testing and vermicompost. Hameti students were taken on a tour of the Agricultural Sciences Center of Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Jind. On this occasion, the Center’s soil scientist, Dr. Dheeraj Panghal briefed the participants about the Center’s role in the expansion of agricultural technologies.
He said Krishi Vigyan Kendra makes continuous efforts to increase the income of farmers. The center regularly organizes training courses, awareness camps for farmers and farmers’ fairs. Through which farmers are made aware of new technologies. Dr. Panghal also informed the students about the importance of soil testing. Highlighting the importance of soil testing, he also explained the method of soil sampling to the students in detail.
Additionally, the students were informed about the vermicompost production method and were also shown the vermicompost display unit of the centre. He said farmers can increase their income by making vermicompost. On this occasion Dr. Harbhagwan Kamboj, Dr. Ravi, Dr. Preeti and Dr. Pawan were also present.
