A shocking incident has come to light in Gurugram, Haryana. A three-year-old girl was allegedly sexually abused at a well-known “daycare” here. The police have registered a case in this regard. Authorities provided this information on Wednesday. Officials said Gurugram Police Commissioner Vikas Kumar Arora has constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the case.
Demonstration demanding the arrest of the accused
The girl’s family demonstrated in front of the daycare demanding the arrest of the accused. Playschool has not yet given any statement in this regard. Despite several attempts, the school principal could not be contacted. According to the complaint filed by the girl’s family, on October 28, a delivery man arrived at the girl’s house and after delivering the merchandise, caressed the girl’s hair. After this, the girl told her mother about another incident in which she was touched inappropriately at daycare.
The girl did not know how to say the name of the accused.
However, the girl could not name the accused or identify him, a senior police officer said. The officer said she couldn’t even say when and where the incident occurred at the daycare. An FIR under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act was registered at Sadar police station and the police launched an investigation.
Gurugram police spokesperson Sandeep Kumar said police commissioner Vikas Kumar Arora formed an SIT to investigate the matter. He said that in the investigation so far the identity of the accused has not been made clear and the police are investigating the case from all aspects. (Language)
