(Kurukshetra News) Kurukshetra. Thanesar MLA Ashok Arora has said that the number of patients suffering from dengue is continuously increasing, but instead of taking measures to prevent dengue, the government is hiding the numbers. Instead of hiding the numbers, the government should take strict measures to prevent dengue so that patients suffering from it can get relief and control themselves.
He was speaking to reporters in his office on Tuesday. Arora said Kurukshetra hospitals are full of dengue patients. Hundreds of dengue patients arrive at large hospitals every day, but it is surprising that instead of preventing dengue, the government has begun to hide the numbers. He said that one death occurred due to dengue in Akash Nagar and one death also occurred due to dengue in Chakravati locality. Dengue outbreak is continuously increasing in Kurukshetra and lives are also being lost. In this regard, he also raised this issue in the recent E-Disha meeting. At that time the officials had also assured that fogging would be applied to prevent dengue, but so far no fogging has been seen nor are any other efforts seen. The first task of the government is to take the health of citizens seriously, but the government is busy getting applause for itself. The government should take necessary measures to prevent dengue.
Talking about the shortage of DAP, Ashok Arora said that the sowing season is underway. Every year there is a shortage of DAP. The government should provide DAP to farmers as soon as possible. He said that the Minister of Agriculture is saying that there is no shortage of DAP. If there is no shortage of DAP, why is it not made available to farmers? The MLA said that today farmers are very upset for not receiving DAP. The government should provide DAP to farmers at the earliest so that they can sow wheat crop on time.
Ashok Arora criticized former MLA
During the press conference, MLA Ashok Arora probed about former MLA Subhash Sudha and said that the former MLA may have old feelings, but it is surprising why officials go to the former MLA’s meetings. Not only this, the press release is being issued through DIPRO’s own email. Arora said that although any press release has to be issued by the Municipal Council, it can be done by the DMC official or on behalf of the DC. Officials should understand this.
Kuvi vice chancellor is working as a BJP worker
Ashok Arora said that Kurukshetra University is a hub of education and students study here irrespective of politics, but it is sad that the vice-chancellor here considers himself a BJP worker. Those who supported the Congress during the elections have been transferred and those who supported the BJP are being encouraged. He said that it is shameful to do this work while sitting in the temple of education. Sitting in a position like Vice Chancellor, one should look at everyone equally.
