A mega auction will be organized for IPL 2025 on November 24 and 25. Where a total of 574 players will be auctioned. Meanwhile, BCCI has announced some important dates for the next three seasons. This is a big step from IPL. This has never happened before. As per the dates released for the IPL, IPL 2025 will begin on March 14 and its finale will take place on May 25. The 2026 season will be played between March 15 and May 31, while the 2027 season will be played between March 14 and May 30.
There will be so many games played next season
According to ESPN Cricinfo report, in the emails sent to the franchises on Thursday, IPL has given the window of dates for the tournament. There is a good chance that this is the last date. A total of 74 matches will be played in IPL 2025. Only in the last three seasons have the same number of matches been played. Although when the BCCI sold its rights there was talk of 84 matches per season, but this has not happened yet.
All eyes on IPL auction
Fans always eagerly wait for the world’s biggest cricket league, the IPL. IPL offers a great platform for cricketers from all over the world. Players who play here get money and fame. After the IPL withholding, fans’ eyes are now fixed on the mega auction. In this auction, many franchises will form completely new rosters and many of the most expensive players are also expected to be purchased.
This time, out of 574 players, 48 limited Indian players, 193 limited overseas players, 3 associate domestic players, 318 non-limited Indian players and 12 non-limited overseas players are included in the mega auction. Of these players, only 204 players can be purchased. In which 70 places are for foreign players.
